There are also free soda fountains placed around the perimeter. (The best buffet in OH/IN is at Indiana Grand in Shelbyville - 20 minutes south of Indy.) Hollywood Columbus is also non-smoking. The buffet in Lawrenceburg is only mediocre. We did not try the buffet since so many reviews are lackluster.
We were there on a Saturday afternoon and the place was not crazy busy as I expected. Being a new casino, there were lots of new machines I hadn't seen before. I like to play the 20-25-30-40 max penny machines, of which there were quite a few. I like winnning but I don't like spending.) The place is set up with a circular path with table games mostly up the middle. Because of this my new card came with free money - $10 - which I used for about 2 hours of play. Hollywood casinos are merging their Player's cards into one so you won't need a card for each of their (now 5) locations. Of course, your opinion of a place is always dependent on whether you win or not. The decor is similar (movie themed) but Columbus is brighter and seems more exciting. I've been to the Hollywood in Lawrenceburg, IN, and I have to say I prefer the atmosphere in Columbus.
